Redmond, WA Community

Redmond’s most cherished summer tradition is back! Derby Days 2025 is set to light up the city with two days of family fun, cultural celebration, and community spirit on Friday and Saturday, July 11–12. This free-entry event, organized by the City of Redmond, brings together thousands of residents and visitors for a weekend filled with activities for all ages.

A Beloved Community Celebration

“It’s not summer in Redmond until Derby Days!” — that’s the phrase locals have come to know and love. This long-running celebration has become a staple of the city’s identity, providing a weekend where everyone can come together to relax, explore, and celebrate all that makes Redmond special.

The event takes over downtown Redmond and surrounding festival grounds, offering a wide array of attractions including carnival rides, food vendors, live music, a community parade, and a bustling craft marketplace. Whether you’re a thrill-seeker, foodie, parade fan, or just looking for a fun day with the family, Derby Days has something for you.

Rides, Games & Entertainment for All Ages

The carnival zone will feature attractions ranging from gentle rides for kids to adrenaline-pumping options for teens and adults. Expect spinning rides, game booths, and family-friendly amusements that run all weekend long.

Live music stages will host local bands and performers representing a range of musical styles—rock, jazz, indie, pop, and cultural performances that highlight the diversity of the Redmond community.

Don’t miss the Redmond Derby Days Parade, a fan-favorite tradition that brings together local schools, businesses, and organizations in a colorful display of floats, dancers, and marching groups that embody the spirit of the city.

Food, Culture & Local Shopping

Food vendors will offer something for every palate—from fair classics like corn dogs and funnel cake to global eats and locally sourced gourmet bites. There will also be food trucks stationed throughout the venue for quick, delicious options on the go.

Support local artisans at the craft marketplace, where you’ll find handmade goods, art, jewelry, home décor, and more. It’s the perfect place to pick up a unique souvenir or an early holiday gift.
