Organized by the Carnation Chamber of Commerce, this year’s festival builds on the success of its inaugural event with even more participating farms and coordinated activities. The celebration culminates in two special weekend events: “Sunflower Saturday” on September 6th in Carnation and “Sunflower Sunday” on September 7th in Duvall. These signature days will transform the downtown areas into lively celebrations of all things sunflower, bringing together local businesses, artists, and farmers in a community-wide festival atmosphere.

The festival serves as a perfect showcase of the valley’s natural beauty and agricultural significance. Visitors can explore farms located along the Snoqualmie River’s fertile banks, each offering its unique perspective on sunflower cultivation. This geographic spread ensures that the entire valley shares in both the economic benefits and community spirit of the celebration, creating a truly regional event that highlights the connections between our towns and farming communities.

When you arrive at the Snoqualmie Valley Sunflower Festival, prepare to be greeted by stunning vistas of golden blooms stretching toward the horizon. Visitors can wander through carefully maintained sunflower fields, where paths wind between towering stalks topped with massive, sun-tracking blooms. The experience is immersive and awe-inspiring, as these magnificent flowers create a natural display of color and texture that changes throughout the day as they follow the sun’s journey across the sky.

Many participating farms offer u-pick experiences, allowing visitors to select and harvest their own perfect sunflowers to take home. Professional cutting shears and carry containers are typically provided, making it easy to create a personalized bouquet of these cheerful blooms. Photography enthusiasts will find endless inspiration among the sunflower fields, with many farms creating special photo stations and scenic viewpoints designed specifically for capturing that perfect sunflower selfie or family portrait against a backdrop of golden petals.
